<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas generator for an airbag which is easily manufactured with a simple structure, capable of reducing the manufacturing cost, changing the storage amount of a gas generating agent, and reliably igniting and burning the gas generating agent even by an ignition means of the regular output. <P>SOLUTION: A combustion chamber 5 for accommodating a gas generating agent 7 and a filter means accommodating chamber 6 for accommodating a cylindrical filter 15 are partitioned from each other by a partition member 10 having a plurality of through-holes 11 and curved in a projecting manner inward of the combustion chamber 5. A plurality of gas exhaust ports 4 are formed in a peripheral wall on which the filter means accommodating chamber 6 is mounted. The inside diameter of each of the plurality of through-holes 11 is smaller than the size of the gas generating agent 7, and the total area of opening parts of the plurality of through-holes 11 is larger than that of the plurality of gas exhaust ports 4. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
