<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving support for a vehicle allowing reduction of a burden in driving operation for obstacle avoidance by a driver. <P>SOLUTION: When deciding that there is a possibility that an obstacle SB present in advance of a travel direction of one's own vehicle SM contacts with the own vehicle SM within a prescribed time, an avoidance direction advantageous to contact avoidance with the obstacle SB is determined.
