The device has a building drum (10) i.e. tire building drum, comprising a middle drum (1) i.e. shoulder drum, and a lateral drum (2) i.e. bellows strap, where expansion of two drum segments of the middle and lateral drums takes place by displacement of a screw rod. The segments of the lateral drum are coupled with the rod during expansion by a stop, where radial expansion of the segments of the lateral drum is limited by diameter of a clamped tire core. The segments of the middle drum are expanded to a larger diameter as the segments of the lateral drum by displacement of the rod.
