摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an alkaline storage battery with high capacity and excellent high-temperature lifetime characteristic. <P>SOLUTION: The composite material for electrode comprises a hydrogen storage alloy particle and particles including a III group metal element, supported by the hydrogen storage particle. The hydrogen storage alloy particle contains Ni, and the content of Ni is 35-60 wt.% of the entire hydrogen storage alloy particle. The particles including the III group metal element include at least one selected from the group consisting of III group metal simple bodies, oxides of the III group metal elements, and hydroxides of the III group metal elements, and the average particle size of the particles including the III group metal element is 50 nm or less. The hydrogen storage alloy particle includes at least one crystalline structure selected from the group consisting of Ce<SB>2</SB>Ni<SB>7</SB>type and CeNi<SB>3</SB>type. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
