摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device that has a large aperture ratio and is configured so that an electrode is formed on an irregular surface of a reflective layer through a planarization layer wherein disconnection in a contact hole is prevented from occurring. <P>SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display device includes, on a liquid crystal layer 40 of an element substrate 10: a TFT element 20; a resin layer 22 having the irregular surface on at least a reflection display region R; a contact hole 22a penetrating the resin layer 22; the reflective layer 24 composed of a conductive film having a surface that reflects the irregular surface of the resin layer 22 wherein the reflective layer is electrically connected to the TFT element 20 through the contact hole 22a; the planarization layer 26 that covers at least the reflective layer 24; the contact hole 26a located outside the region of an pixel 4 and penetrating the planarization layer 26; and a pixel electrode 16 provided on the planarization layer 26 and electrically connected to the reflective layer 24 through the contact hole 26a.
