摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a roller bearing involving a less risk of damaging a faucet convex part or a flange even if a step is produced in a mating portion of faucet joining without changing the structure of a retainer. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The roller bearing is equipped with a plurality of rollers 6 interposed between an inner 4 and an outer raceway surface 5, the retainer 9 furnished with a plurality of pockets by combining two annular components 7 and 8 in the axial direction, and the flange 12 furnished with a retainer guide surface 10 in a cylindrical shape, and is configured so that a column part of the annular component 7 is faucet-joined in the axial direction with the ring part of the other annular component 8 and the retainer 9 is guided in the radial direction by the ring part 9a of the retainer 9 formed by faucet joining and the retainer guide surface 10, wherein the flange 12 is provided with a wall thickness reduction part 22 recessed from the retainer guide surface 10 to such a depth as able to store a lubricant, and the wall thickness reduction part 22 is formed so that it does not pass the area where the mating portion 21 of the faucet joining exposed at the ring part of the retainer 9 will be located off the wall thickness reduction part 22 in the axial direction while the bearing is in operation.
