DISK DEVICE AND ITS CONTROL METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently use a nonvolatile memory even after using the exchange region of a nonvolatile memory in a disk device including a nonvolatile memory whose rewritting frequency is restricted. SOLUTION: This disk device includes a control part including a nonvolatile memory whose rewriting frequency is restricted, a disk and a memory management table for managing the correspondence relation between the logical address (LBA: Logical Block Address) of the nonvolatile memory with a physical address. The control part writes the data in the physical address corresponding to the LBA of the nonvolatile memory different from an LBA in which the data should be written in response to the generation of a failure in the region of the physical address corresponding to the LBA in which the data should be written in the nonvolatile memory, and the physical address in which the data are written is associated with the LBA in which the data should be written in the memory management table.
