摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve operability of a plurality of adjustable parts in a seat for an occupant loaded in an automobile or the like. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A lock release mechanism 20 includes a roller part 82 and a long hole 66 for transmitting the operating force of an operating lever 46 to a back-and-forth slide lock part 28. The long hole 66 has an arcuate section 66B, formed to an arcuate shape concentric with the turning part 64 of a main arm 40. According to this configuration, since the roller part 82 runs idle along the arcuate section 66B, when the operating lever 46 is lifted from a lifting angle θ1 to θ3, a sub arm 42 is maintained at a certain rotation angle and the back-and-forth slide lock part 28 is maintained in a lock-released state. The configuration prevents the increase of the operational reaction force (urging force from urging members including a spring)transmitted from the back-and-forth slide lock 28 to the operating lever 46, and thus improves operability of a position adjusting mechanism 14 for a back-and-forth slide, a turning position adjusting mechanism 16 and a lateral-slide-position adjusting mechanism 18.
