<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a liquid crystal display device in which spacer particles can be disposed with high accuracy in a region corresponding to a non-pixel region on a substrate by using an ink-jet apparatus. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing the liquid crystal display device having first and second substrates 2 and 3 opposing to each other having pixel regions and non-pixel regions includes a step of discharging a spacer particle dispersion liquid having dispersion of spacer particles 13 through a nozzle of the ink-jet apparatus onto the first substrate 2 so as to arrange the spacer particles 13 in a region on the first substrate 2 corresponding to the non-pixel region. The spacer particle dispersion liquid contains at least a solvent X having the boiling point of ≥200°C and the surface tension of ≥42 mN/m. In the step of arranging the spacer particles 13, the amount of the solvent X contained in the spacer particle dispersion liquid discharged at a time through one nozzle is 0.5 to 15 ng.
