<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system and method for matching ultrasound images and a CT image. <P>SOLUTION: A plurality of first ultrasound images of an object body are successively formed during a first predetermined cycle, the CT image of the object body is formed at one point of the time during the first predetermined cycle, the CT video image is matched with each of the first ultrasound images to form ultrasound-CT matched images, and the ultrasound-CT matched images are stored. Subsequently, a plurality of second ultrasound images of the object body are sequentially formed during a second predetermined cycle, similarities are determined between the first ultrasound images and the second ultrasound images, and the ultrasound-CT matched image corresponding to the first ultrasound image having the highest similarity to the second ultrasound image among the plurality of first ultrasound images is retrieved from the stored images, and a display part for displaying the retrieved ultrasound-CT matched image together with the second ultrasound image is provided further. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
