PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video display device initializing setting of a function in accordance with a user and initializing the setting of the function without causing the user to be conscious of the initialization. SOLUTION: In a television receiver 1 for displaying video, setting of a function for adjusting the size of video is changeable. The television receiver 1 being a video display device is provided with a setting part S for setting whether to initialize the setting of the function for adjusting the size of video in accordance with switching of power on/off.
