PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten a period for updating offset correction data in a method for offset correction which carries out offset correction of radiation image data read from a radiation image detector on the basis of offset correction data and updates the offset correction data. SOLUTION: On the basis of the offset image data read from the radiation image detector while radiation is not emitted, correction data for a low frequency component and correction data for a high frequency component are generated as offset correction data, and the correction data for the low frequency component and the correction data for the high frequency component are respectively updated.
