摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical scanner in which light quantity stabilizing control of a plurality of laser beams is performed in a short time and with high accuracy. SOLUTION: The optical scanner scans the plurality of laser beams and forms an image on a photoreceptor. The optical scanner includes: a first measurement means which measures bias light emission quantity of each of the plurality of laser beams; and a first decision making means which decides the target values of the light quantity of the plurality of laser beams on the basis of the bias light emission quantity measured with the first measurement means. The optical scanner further includes a count means to count the number of each light emitting pixels of the plurality of laser beams when forming the image so that the target values of light quantity decided by the first decision making means are provided. The optical scanner further includes: an identification means which identifies a laser beam which has the largest variation between the counted value of the light emitting pixels counted by the count means and the target values of light quantity; and a second measurement means which measures the bias light emission quantity of the laser beam identified with the identification means. The optical scanner further includes a second decision making means which decides the target values of the light quantity of the plurality of laser beams on the basis of the bias light emission quantity measured with the second measurement means.
