PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image recording device allowing a user to freely select a paper feeding cassette when using a cross sorting function. SOLUTION: This image recording device 20 includes an operating section 8, and is constituted to cross-sort recording paper printed per printing job in vertical and lateral directions so as to be discharged to a discharge tray 110 in the case of repeating a printing job for a plurality of numbers of copies. This image recording device is provided with a plurality of paper feeding cassettes 101-106 in which paper sheets are separately housed in different directions, and a cassette deciding means 1 for deciding two paper feeding cassettes in which paper sheets of the same sizes used for printing the plurality of numbers of copies are arranged in different directions are housed by selecting the paper feeding cassettes 101-106 by the operating section 8 when starting the printing of the plurality of number of copies.
