<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transparent electrode of a front substrate, capable of achieving cost reduction of a plasma display panel. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The front substrate of a plasma display panel employs a low resistance electrode for signal transmission which is a pattern electrode of sintered silver particles, the transparent electrode is formed of amorphous ITO formed by vacuum deposition at a low substrate temperature of 150°C or lower, and a binding frit glass contained in paste for forming a low resistance electrode formation layer directly contacting with the transparent electrode is made of a material having a high softening point of 400°C or higher.
