PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a support for desk hoods which is easy to assemble and inexpensive and has a good appearance. SOLUTION: The support 10 for desk hoods includes first member 61 to seventh member 67 which serve as a channel material formed separately and extending in the vertical direction Z and are fixed mutually. The first member 61 has a groove-shaped cross section and constitutes either a right or left side 80 of the support 10. The second member 62 has a groove-shaped cross section, is fixed to the first member 61, constitutes the other left or right side 82 of the support 10 and allows an arrangement of a spindle 34 between the first member 61 and the second member 62. The third member 63 has a groove-shaped cross section, is fixed in front of the first member 61 and the second member 62 and forms a cable-containing chamber 58. The third member 63 includes a projected strip 87 protruding backward. The projected strip 87 is fixed so as to be held between the first member 61 and the second member 62.
