PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stator of a rotary electric machine for securing a sufficient space for windings without reducing the thickness of a back yoke portion, improving the lineup property of a coil, and improving an occupation rate of the coil. SOLUTION: An inhibiting section 5d is mounted at a position, where a circular arc part 5a of a connecting recess 5 crosses with an outer line 1b of the back yoke portion 1 of the connecting recess 5 side. A first rotating angle θ1 when turned around a connection center part 3 of the back yoke portion 1 to the inhibiting section 5d in the annular outside, is made larger than a second rotating angle θ2 when turned to a position where a normal 8 to a tooth portion 2 from a root section 2a of the tooth portion 2 of one back yoke portion 1 is brought into contact with a protruded end 2b of coupled another back yoke portion 1.
