The unit has Flexraydata bus outputs i.e. activation pins (A-TX, A-TXEN, B-TX, B-TXEN), and a device for generating an error signal (err). The device signalizes an internal error of the computing unit. A switching unit is provided to process the error signal and displaces the data bus outputs in a definite condition. A programmable register (COMPARE-VAL) with a data value determines an operating time of a counter (2), where an activation input (6) is generated during exceeding, lowering or achieving of the data value. An independent claim is also included for a method for error handling in a digital computing unit.
