<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electromagnetic induction heater using a single-end type resonance high-frequency inverter for stably controlling the power consumption of a heating coil even in a region of small power consumption. <P>SOLUTION: The electromagnetic induction heater includes a rectifier smoothing circuit 11 as a power supply for converting an alternating current into a direct current, a zero-cross detecting means 13 for detecting the zero-cross of the alternating current, a switching means consisting of a single switching element 7, the heating coil 5 as a heating means to which the direct current is applied with the on-/off-operation of the switching element 7, and a control means 12 for controlling the on-/off-operation of the switching element 7 in synchronization with the zero-cross of the alternating current detected by the zero-cross detecting means 13 to control the current carrying rate of the direct current in the half-cycles of the alternating current. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
