<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the size of an oil strainer by preventing suction of air when oil is non-uniformly positioned without requiring a large space. <P>SOLUTION: This oil strainer 1 for a vehicle is equipped with an outer case 5, and an inner case 6 opposing the outer case 5. The outer case 5 includes an outlet opening part 5a communicated with an oil pump, and an end inlet opening part 5b positioned at each of both ends in the fore-and-aft direction of the vehicle and opened. The inner case 6 includes an outlet opening part 6b communicated with the outlet opening part 5a of the outer case 5, and an end suction port 6c positioned at each of both ends in the fore-and-aft direction of the vehicle and opened. The end suction ports 6c are selectively communicated with end inlet opening parts 5b on the end side corresponding to the outer case 5 while the inner case 6 being positioned at each of both sliding limit positions in the fore-and-aft direction of the vehicle and are opened facing down into an oil pan 2. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
