<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ease burdens on consumers while correctly managing point information. <P>SOLUTION: A point system (1) includes a plurality of cards (30a-30d) which store card identification information (311), respectively, a plurality of store terminal means (20a-20c) which store terminal identification information (211), respectively, a server means (10) which stores point information (113, 114) for each card identification information and each terminal identification information and is connected to each of the plurality of store terminal means via the Internet (40). In the point system, the point information is uniquely managed by the server means, even if the store terminal means may have some fault, so that the point information can be managed correctly.
