<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a taste improver added to food and drink to give them delicious taste, richness and voluminous feeling inherent in the food and drink, and also to give them excellent sharpness when taken. <P>SOLUTION: The taste improver has a mixture of a single or at least two of diglyceride with one side of which a relatively short-chain fatty acid having a specific number of carbon atoms is combined, and with the other side of which a relatively long-chain fatty acid having a specific number of carbon atoms is combined, as an active ingredient.
