<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of automatically providing lab test results in the format optimal for the office having ordered the lab test using communications between document processing devices. <P>SOLUTION: The method comprises scanning, with a document processing device, a document including machine readable marking having patient information, information of at least one lab test to be performed, and format information, identifying the lab test to be applied to a patient based on the machine readable marking using the document processing device, formatting the lab test results based on the format information from the machine readable marking after lab test is applied to the patient using a lab test device operably connected to the document processing device, and outputting the lab test results formatted from the document processing device. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
