<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a coated conductor using a textured substrate, the method allowing shaping of an already textured substrate and, nevertheless, enabling epitaxial growth of a well aligned active layer of high-temperature superconducting material. <P>SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing a shaped substrate with curved surface includes the steps of providing a textured substrate with planar surface with one or more of first textured buffer layers, subjecting the substrate covered with the first buffer layers to a shaping step, and providing a second textured buffer layer onto the first buffer layers by epitaxial growth. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
