IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS, ITS CONTROL METHOD AND CONTROL PROGRAM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive and excellent image forming apparatus without performing correction using expensive optical parts or precise fine adjustment in assembly to tilt and distortion of a scanning line with an optical system. SOLUTION: Image data to be input in an exposure means is corrected so that influence by deformation of a developer image caused by shape of the exposure means may not appear on an output image. Smoothing processing is applied to the image data corrected in an image correction means so as to fill a white image area of the image data with dots of size under one pixel. Exposure for the image data to which the smoothing processing has been applied is changed to be different from that for the image data to which the smoothing processing has not been applied yet.
