PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing apparatus that generates easy-to-reuse electronic documents from input images of different page sizes. SOLUTION: The image processing apparatus generates a plurality of pieces of display information from a plurality of document images, and converts the display information into electronitic documents according to the size and direction of the document images. Specifically, the plurality of pieces of display information are grouped by the image size and direction, the display information included in each group is converted into the electronic documents.
