PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a memory card connector capable of improving a card holding function in an card fitting part by providing a locking part to make a slider integrated with an eject button hold a card and to prevent it from coming off, and a locking mechanism to hold the slider in a shield cover. SOLUTION: The memory card connector is composed of the slider, a contact connected to the contact of a memory card, a housing equipped with a card sliding part to mount the memory card and a slider placing part to place the slider, and the shield cover formed so as to cover the card sliding part and the slider placing part. A slider guide hole to guide the movement of the slider and a spring part are provided in the shield cover, a card engagement part to get engaged with the slider engagement part of the slider of the memory card and a spring engagement part to get engaged with the spring part are provided in the slider, and when fitting of the memory card is completed, the spring engagement part is engaged with the spring part.
