<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To sufficiently reduce an amount of gas remaining in cylinders in a high rotation and high load area, and to certainly suppress variations in the amount of gas remaining between the cylinders, in an internal combustion engine with a combustion interval unequalized in a cylinder row, in a control device for the internal combustion engine. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This device for controlling the internal combustion engine with the combustion interval unequalized in the cylinder row includes a turbo side exhaust valve opening/closing an exhaust port communicating with a turbo side exhaust passage passing through the turbine of a turbosupercharger, and a bypass side exhaust valve opening/closing an exhaust port communicating with a bypass side exhaust passage not passing through the turbine, with respect to each cylinder. In the high rotation and high load area, control is made such that: length of the opening period of the bypass side exhaust valve is set at 190° or below in a crank angle; the opening period of the turbo side exhaust valve is made longer than the opening period of the bypass side exhaust valve; and an overlap occurs between the opening period of the bypass side exhaust valve and the opening period of an intake valve.
