<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a soil improvement machine the protective member for protecting bottom face of the casing of which can achieve a longer service life. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In this machine, an intermediate liner 27 is arranged in boundary section between a first liner 24 and a second liner 26 to smoothly connect concave curvature surface 24D of the first liner 24 with concave curvature surface 26D of the second liner 26. Thereby, the intermediate liner 27 can prevent earth and sand stirred on tip side of the first paddle 32 from biting into the boundary section between the first and the second liners 24/26 even if the first rotary shaft 29 revolves in the arrow X' direction, while preventing earth and sand stirred on the tip side of the second paddle 33 from biting into the boundary section between the first and the second liners 24/26 even if the second rotary shaft 30 revolves in the arrow Y' direction.
