<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic-inorganic composite material comprising a polyamideimide resin as a matrix polymer and an inorganic compound in a finely and uniformly dispersed state. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A production method of an organic-inorganic composite material containing a polyamide-imide resin as an organic polymer component is disclosed, the method including: a step 1 of simultaneously producing a polyamide resin and inorganic fine particles comprising a metal compound or silicon dioxide, by allowing an organic solvent solution (1) containing an aromatic tricarboxylic acid anhydride monohalide (a) and diamine (b) and an aqueous solution (2) containing a metal compound (c-1) having at least two metal elements including at least one alkali metal, selected from a group consisting of metal oxides, metal hydroxides and metal carbonates, or an alkali silicate (c-2), to coexist while at least partially being kept in a compatible state or a separated state; and a step 2 of subjecting the polyamide resin obtained in the step 1 to an intramolecular dehydration reaction.
