<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vibration damping device for railway equipment, exerting a vibration damping effect on a mounted object. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This switch 1 is provided with: a driving motor 3; operating lever 7 and chain lock lever 11; a case 5; and transmission mechanism 9 and vibration damping device 15 arranged in the case 5. The vibration damping device 15 is provided with: a vibration damping base 17 on which a vibration damping object 27 is mounted; and a plurality of vibration damping support parts 19 having damping actions to support the vibration damping base 17. In the vibration damping base 17, a mounting surface 21 is provided on the upper surface, the lower surface is projected downward, and a thickest part 23 is provided at the center.
