PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a naphthalenetetracarboxylic acid diimide derivative which is used as a new electron-transporting material excellent as an organic electronic material used in various devices such as an electrophotographic photoconductor, a photoelectric transducer, a thin-film transistor device and a light-emitting element. SOLUTION: The naphthalenetetracarboxylic acid diimide derivative is a compound of formula (1) (wherein R<SP>1</SP>and R<SP>2</SP>are each a (non)substituted alkyl group or a (non)substituted aromatic hydrocarbon group; R<SP>3</SP>is a 1-8C alkyl group or an aromatic hydrocarbon group; R<SP>4</SP>, R<SP>5</SP>, R<SP>6</SP>and R<SP>7</SP>are each a hydrogen atom, a (non)substituted alkyl group or a (non)substituted aromatic hydrocarbon group).
