PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for transcutaneous immunostimulation with an adjuvant for stimulating an immune response induced by a vaccine to treat diseases and reduce an effective dose of an antigen in the vaccine. SOLUTION: The method for transcutaneous immunostimulation includes (a) a step of preparing a subject requiring immunization with a vaccine, (b) a step of applying at least one adjuvant to the skin of a patient via skin surface and (c) a step of immunizing the subject with the vaccine via an administration route other than the transcutaneous route wherein the vaccine contains one or plural antigens. Thus, at least one of the adjuvants induces the transcutaneous immunostimulation by induction of a specific immune response to one or plurality of the antigens and the immune response stimulated by at least one of the adjuvants is more effective than the immune response in the case without at least one of the adjuvants.
