<p>Disclosed is a technique for producing a rapidly disintegrating preparation which contains calcium carbonate, can rapidly disintegrate with a small quantity of water or saliva in the oral cavity and has such tablet physical properties that can fully withstand the conditions for market distribution in a rotary compression molding machine without the need of employing any complicated process or any specialized production facility. Specifically disclosed is a rapidly disintegrating preparation containing calcium carbonate, which is shaped by the direct tableting of a material comprising at least the components (A) and (B) shown below in a compression molding machine, has a tablet hardness of 40 to 200 N, has a tablet wear rate of 1% or less, and requires 60 seconds or shorter for the disintegration in the oral cavity. (A) Calcium carbonate having a 50% particle diameter of 20 to 100 µm as measured on the powder particle size by a laser diffraction method. (B) A component which can increase the moldability of the whole preparation when mixed with calcium carbonate.</p> |
