<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid-state imaging apparatus capable of easily reducing the pixel pitch in a direction along rows. <P>SOLUTION: The present invention relates to a solid-state imaging apparatus including (n) pieces of first accumulation sections (101) each for holding a digital value of (n) bits output from a counter; (n) pieces of second accumulation sections (102), each for holding the digital value of (n) bits transferred from the (n) pieces of first accumulation sections; and an A/D converter (107) for writing in the (n) pieces of first accumulation sections the digital value of (n) bits, from the counter, based on the pixel signal generated from pixels.
