PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the irregularity of emission brightness resulting from coupling in the turning-off of a writing transistor caused by the irregularity of a parasite capacity of the writing transistor to obtain uniform image quality without irregularity.

SOLUTION: A display connects one end of a capacity element 28 to a gate electrode of a drive transistor 22, suppresses a variation part of a voltage Vgs between a gate-source of the drive transistor 22 resulting from coupling caused by the parasite capacity in the turning-off of a writing transistor 23 by giving a control signal WS2 changed from an "L" level to an "H" level on and after (including the same time) transition timing from the "H" level to the "L" level of a writing scanning signal WS1 to the other end of the capacity element 28, and suppresses the irregularity of emission brightness caused by the irregularity of the parasite capacity of the writing transistor 23.
