<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of selecting a method for setting a time out value and capable of controlling printing according to the time out value set by the selected method, a printing controlling method, a printing controlling program, and a recording medium with this program recorded. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus 10 includes a communicating means 12 for performing data communication with an external instrument 20, and an operation panel 18 for receiving displaying of various information of the apparatus and an inputting operation. Respective settings of a limiting time for waiting for re-starting of receiving from starting to receive transmitting data from the external instrument 20 by the communicating means 12 to starting again to receive the transmitting data after the transmitting data are stopped, and a limiting time of printing processing from starting printing action of the apparatus to finishing therefor, are received by receiving setting commands 41 and 42 by the communication means 18 and the inputting operation of the operation panel 18, and the printing action is controlled according to the limiting time received. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
