<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laser welding structure and a laser welding method, in which a welding object made of Cu or Cu alloy is welded in a very small range by laser and occurrence of crack at the time of welding is reduced without increasing the size of an apparatus, requiring the complication of the apparatus, and lowering machinability. <P>SOLUTION: A lead 30 irradiated with laser light has a plating layer 32 composed of Ni plating. Even when a lead body 31 is made of Cu or Cu alloy, its reflectance of laser light falls off and the energy absorption rate of the lead 30 is increased by forming the plating layer 32 on the lead 30. Moreover, the plating layer 32 composed of Ni plating has a lower melting point than the lead body 31, so that a portion to become a seed at the time of melting is easily formed. Thereby, the lead 30 made of Cu or Cu alloy can be welded with a conductive member 40 by applying laser light without passing through complicated processes. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
