PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pressure sensitive adhesive composition, as an adhesive composition for a protective film for use in a working process, having suitable adhesion, and excellent in punching workability, especially free from zipping, adhesive residues and powdery adhesive stains, and also to provide the protective film for use in the working process using the adhesive. SOLUTION: This pressure sensitive adhesive composition, for the protective film for use in the working process, comprises 100 pts.wt. of an acrylic copolymer (A) containing 0.1-10 wt.% of a reactive functional hydroxy group-containing monomer as a copolymerizing component, and having a glass transition temperature (Tg) of -60 to -40°C, 0.01-2.0 pts.wt. of a dimethyl silicone compound (B) having a polyoxyalkylene group, and a crosslinking agent (C) having 0.1-1.5 equivalent of an isocyanate group to the reactive functional group of the acrylic copolymer (A).
