PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the transfer time of image data in a compact imaging apparatus and to manage the image data by the imaging apparatus. SOLUTION: A digital camera has an image shooting function and a memory card 16 for storing the image data obtained by shooting images, and is connectable to an external hard disk device 3. The digital camera includes a transfer means and a distribution means. The transfer means transfers a plurality of the image data stored in the memory card 16 to the external hard disk device 3 altogether.
