PURPOSE:To easily obtain the titled vitreous body having refractive index distribution in a thickness direction by dipping silica gel added with Ti and B in the eluate of sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid, etc., to elute a part of the Ti and B. CONSTITUTION:The eluate consisting of >=1 kind among sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid, and nitric acid is prepared. Besides, silica gel contg. a Ti component and a B component is prepared, for example, by hydrolyzing Si(OCH3)4 contg. Ti(OC4H9)4 and B(OC2H5)3. The silica gel is dipped in the eluate at a temp. not exceeding the b.p. to elute a part of the Ti component and the B component. Then the silica gel is dried and sintered. |
