摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a projector capable of achieving reduction in luminance unevenness and color unevenness of illumination light in a projector equipped with a plurality of light source sections, and further, capable of sufficiently exerting imaging performance. <P>SOLUTION: The projector 100 includes the first light source section 1, the plurality of second light source sections 2a, 2b, and an optical axis conversion element (truncated quadrangular pyramid-shaped reflector 3) adapted to emit light beams, which are input from the first light source section and the plurality of second light source sections, in prescribed directions, respectively. The optical axis conversion element emits the light beam, which is input from the first light source section 1 so that an exit optical axis of the light beam may approximately match with an illumination optical axis, and emits the light beams, which are respectively input from the plurality of second light source sections 2a, 2b so that exit optical axes a2, b2 of the light beams may intersect the exit optical axis of the light beam from the first light source section 1 between the optical axis conversion element and the light modulation element (light valve 11). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p>
