<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exterior member of a battery element which does not increase a number of manufacturing processes, achieves excellent sealing property and also contributes to high capacity, and to provide a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery using the same. <P>SOLUTION: The exterior member 300 of the battery element is formed with a sheet strip 300A, an example of a first sheet strip, made of a laminated sheet with a concave part and a planar sheet strip 300B, an example of a second sheet strip, being connected together by a folding part 34, and a thick part 40 is provided containing at least a part of folding part 34. A nonaqueous electrolyte battery 100 equipped with the exterior member 300 installs a battery element 20 in the concave part 32 of the sheet strip 300A, with terminals 22 and sealants 24 putting outside of the concave. Then, by folding the planar sheet 300B at the folding part 34 both two sheet strips 300A, 300B are made overlapped, and seal portion 38 is formed by heat-sealing around fringe portions 36A, 36B of both sheet strips. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
