<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hand dryer which can be used regardless of the physique of a user and can perform a silent operation for toddlers by the change of an air blowing amount. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The hand dryer judges the height of the user from the sensing situation of a sensor 7a and a sensor 7b installed on the product contour, senses the putting in/taking out of hands from an insertion port which is opened in a drying chamber by a hand sensing section 5, and then executes an operation command from a control section 6 to a fan motor 4 in such a manner that a weak operation for toddlers wherein the air blowing amount is reduced is performed from the starting operation time.
