APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR TAKING OUT MOLDED ARTICLE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus and method for taking out a molded article, in each of which a sprue part can be taking out surely and a molding cycle of an injection molding machine can be shortened. SOLUTION: The apparatus for taking out the molded article is provided with: a support which is arranged to be moved back and forth freely and constitutes a main body of a taking out mechanism part 51 for gripping and taking out the molded article; an actuator 67 fit to the support; a pair of gripping elements which are moved by the actuator 67 and used for selectively gripping the sprue part 21 projected from a mold; and a locking element to be made to lock a predetermined part of the sprue part 21. Since the predetermined part of the sprue part 21 is locked by the locking element, the sprue part 21 can be pulled by the friction resistance to be caused between the gripping surface of the gripping element and the outer peripheral surface of the sprue part 21 and the locking force between the locking element and the predetermined part of the sprue part 21.
