<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vibration control device of a building capable of sufficiently demonstrating vibration control performance, though members having comparatively small cross sectional performance are assembled. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The vibration control device 20 of the building having a skeleton structure 10 formed of ceiling beams 12, floor beams 13 and columns 11 is provided with a brace 2A whose upper end is connected to the ceiling beam and the lower end to the column, and a brace 2B whose upper end is connected to the column at the position below the lower end of the brace 2A, and the lower end to the floor beam. A core material 22 of each of the braces is separated at an intermediate part 21. The separated core materials 22, 22 are connected to each other by the intermediary of U-shaped dampers 4 etc. having curved faces and oriented in a manner that each of them may form a curve line when viewed from the face substantially perpendicular to the axis O of the core material.
