PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inspection method using a guide wave capable of easily performing the calibration of a non-destructive inspection device which uses the guide wave. SOLUTION: A magnet 4 which is a reference reflecting member is brought into contact with the outer surface of cylindrical piping 1 separated from a guide wave sensor 2 to be fixed thereto. The reflection signal 3b, from the contact region of the magnet 4 to the guide wave 3a transmitted from the guide wave sensor 2, is received. By having the amplitude of the reflection signal 3b set as a reference signal, and the amplitude of the reflecting signal obtained by the measurement of inspection using the guide wave compared with the reference signal, the magnitude or quantity of a flaw or reduced wall thickness is estimated.
