PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a base-isolated building having a story on which a base-isolation device is installed which enables the height between a floor surface and the lower surface of a beam to be easily secured while suppressing the height of a story by combining a laminated rubber pivotally supported base isolation device with a sliding pivotally supported base isolation device or a rolling pivotally supported base isolation device to eliminate part of the beam of a direct-above story positioned above the story on which the base isolation device is installed. SOLUTION: The base-isolated building includes the story A on which the base isolation device is installed. In the story, a slab 4 on each story is supported by a rigid frame formed of column 2 and a beam 3 between the columns, the plan of the story is rectangular, the span L of the columns arranged parallel to each other in the longitudinal direction is shorter than the span of the columns arranged parallel to each other in the lateral direction, and the columns are formed of the columns 25 into which the laminated rubber pivotally supported base isolation device 5 is inserted and the columns 26 into which the sliding pivotally supported base isolation device 6 is inserted. The columns arranged parallel to each other in the lateral direction at the intermediate section in the longitudinal direction of the story on which the base isolation device is installed are formed of the columns into which the sliding pivotally supported base isolation device is inserted, and the beams in the lateral direction which are connected to the columns into which the sliding pivotally supported base isolation device is inserted are eliminated.
