PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correctly determine a damage state, and easily determine the damage state per structure. SOLUTION: An earthquake damage determination apparatus 10 obtains a trapezoidal spectrum based on an observation value read from an earthquake wave (Fig.9 not shown) observed by an earthquake recorder 80, obtains speed values input to buildings 12, 14, 16 based on the obtained trapezoidal spectrum and preset specific periods of the buildings 12, 14, 16, determines the damage states of the buildings 12, 14, 16 based on the obtained speed values input to the buildings 12, 14, 16 and the damage states of the buildings estimated in response to the preset speed values input to the buildings 12, 14, 16, and announces a determination result. The damage state of the buildings 12, 14, 16 due to the earthquake can be easily and correctly determined in comparison with a case when this method is not applied. COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
