<p>Method for stabilizing sulfate containing soil, comprises adding carbonaceous aggregate to the soil and mixing, where the microbial sulfate reduction to sulfide is stimulated and the formation of ettringite is reduced. An independent claim is included for an aggregate for the removal of sulfate ions from soil by stimulating sulfate reduction, where the aggregate contains sugar, sugar-containing compounds, molasses, sugar-containing residues for the sugar production, fermentable organic acids, hydrogen-eluting substances, fermentable biomass, fermentable biomass iron salts, fermentable biomass divalent iron salts, fermentable biomass finely dispersed trivalent iron salts, fermentable biomass iron(II) chloride or fermentable biomass, which serves as reserve pool after sulfate reduction and subsequently reduces the available sulfate.</p> |
